An Electrical Vehicle(EV) runs on electric motor rather than an enternal combustion engine. EVs have drawn alot of and are now a trending source of transportation due to their automation.

Types of EVs:

  • PHEVs:

  1.  Can be recharged from an external electrical source as well as on its own
  2. Allow both electric and gasoline powered drive

  • BEVs:

      1.  Pure electric vehicle 
      2. Uses chemical energy with no secondary source of propulsion
      3. No internal combustion engine


 Price Range in Pakistan:

  Price range of EVs vary significantly according to the model and features. Local varients of small cars start from around PKR 2.5 million. Mid-range models are about PKR 4-6 million. Luxury EVs can exceed PKR 15 million

 Future of EVs:

Solid state batteries and other technologies promises to further improve range and lower costs. Autonomus technology can also provide safer and more efiicient transport. There are also ambitious targets being set on completely removing combustion engines entirely.

Conclususion:

 The main reason for the popularity of EVs is that they are easy to handle and accessible for practical use. They are powered by electricity which also reduces the burning of fossil fuels that results in climate change. Thus adopting to EVs would drive us into a cleaner and more sustainable future.
